Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup chicken broth
Optional Add-Ins:
- 4 medium potatoes, diced
- 1 ½ cups frozen peas or green beans
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Slow Cooker: Lightly grease your slow cooker with non-stick spray or butter.
2️⃣ Layer Ingredients: Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker. If using potatoes, spread them around the chicken.
3️⃣ Mix the Sauce: In a bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and chicken broth. Stir until smooth.
4️⃣ Cook Low & Slow: Pour the mixture over the chicken and potatoes. Cover and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender.
5️⃣ Add Cheese & Veggies: In the last 30 minutes, stir in shredded cheddar cheese and frozen peas or green beans (if using). Let the cheese melt and the veggies cook through.
6️⃣ Shred & Serve: Use two forks to shred the chicken or serve the breasts whole with the creamy sauce over the top. Enjoy with rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes!
